FUTURE PLANS

FLIP has bright plans for the future. One of our main goals is to ensure the batteries are being used in a more sustainable way after being used in electric vehicles. One of the ways we envision this is by sending the batteries to places where they can be used as generators. Specifically, we want to have them sent to lower-income areas to help support a better life for the people living there. Being based in Indianapolis, we have seen the division between high and low income areas, and we want to make a difference in communities that matter to us.

Additionally, FLIP has future plans to make our own recycling plant for the batteries. In the midwest, there is a severe lack of battery recycling plants, and we want to change that to make it more accessible. By creating our own recycling plant, we would be able to ensure that the batteries are being reused in efficient ways.

FLIP also has a goal to make the batteries safe to transport through air travel, rather than the ground travel required now. Due to legislation, the batteries are not able to be transported on airplanes due to safety concerns. FLIP plans to make the Atlas Case safe enough for air travel, and eventually push for the legislation to change, allowing them to be transported that way. This would allow for quicker travel times and an ultimately easier transportation experience.
